| interior
design is good for business |
| |
Interior
design now plays an integral part in projecting corporate
image throughout all sectors of the economy. |
| |
Successful
retailers have long understood the power of design to communicate
a brand and an increasing number of companies recognise that
their business identity needs to be reinforced, not only through
their brand and product marketing but also through the environments
in which they operate. |
| |
Interior
design is used to optimise profit, private healthcare practices
and hospitals invest in interior design to enhance the patient
experience and instil confidence in treatment and care. Patients
recover more quickly and the healthcare company is able to
handle a greater number of clients. |
| |
Interior
design brings huge returns on investment by increasing the
perceived quality and value of a product or service thus supporting
premium pricing and greater profits. |
| |
| "but
we don't have any clients here!" |
| |
The
people working for an organisation are as crucial to its success
as its customers. It is now recognised that money is not the
primary motivator for most employees - interior design brings
returns on investment by increasing efficiency and motivation.
One of the main routes to optimum profits is via a workforce
that is achieving higher targets and achieving them faster! |
|
It
should not be forgotten that employees are Brand Ambassadors
and Communicators and their environment is a key influence
in how they promote their organisation. |
|
There
are further benefits to be had from providing a well-designed,
pleasant environment - it will both boost staff retention
and be highly attractive to new recruits. |
|
| |
education |
| |
These
principles relate to the field of education which is now officially
recognised with the government's Building Schools for the Future
Initiative. Pilot schemes have demonstrated that well-designed schools
increase the rate of learning and give pupils a sense of pride and
ownership which has the effect of reducing careless damage. Teacher
staff are supported in effectively carrying out their jobs with
less time spent combating disruption. |

| "a
dynamic design and specification service" |
| |
i.d.space
design consultants have been providing a design and specification
service for both commercial and domestic clients for 15 years. Based
in Bristol, we work on new construction and renovation projects
all over the country.
|
| |
Producing
aesthetic and ergonomically effective designs that please every
end-user is always a tough challenge. The secret to our success
is really understanding the needs of the people who will benefit
from the designs and then combining creativity with practicality
for results that will continue to be appreciated and enjoyed. |
| |
We
specialise in being objective; our designers’ breadth of experience
is gained from a diverse range of projects. We create a wide variety
of interiors from modern or contemporary to traditional or period
and every scheme is totally individually created to meet the needs
of that particular client. |
| |
We
recognise that every organisation (including households!) needs
to communicate overtly and subliminally, its values, identity and
status. We support and develop these key statements through effective
interior design. |
| |
We
also believe the interior should be in harmony with the building
and we always look at the “big picture” of the location
and style of the building in order to develop our design ideas.
If we have the opportunity to be involved in the early stages of
a new-build or renovation project we work closely with the architects
and construction team to develop the design and layout. This means
that the transition from exterior design to interior layout and
fixtures and then furnishings is seamless for both those working
on the project and then for those using and enjoying the building. |
